CrossFit Inc. is pleased to present a free lecture and Q&A session with performance-nutrition expert Dr. John Berardi from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday Aug. 26, 2011, at CrossFit Marina.
Dr. John Berardi is the man behind PrecisionNutrition.com, a nutrition coaching and certification website which is currently conducting the world’s largest body transformation project.
Through his site, Dr. Berardi helps people find the best diet for their goals, whether those goals are to achieve optimal health, elite performance, or improved body composition.
Dr. Berardi is constantly experimenting and improving his program, and PrecisionNutrition.com teaches people to really understand how food interacts with the body so they can tailor an eating plan specific to their unique physiology and performance requirements.
“Nutrition plans should always be a starting point for further experimentation, not rigid, immutable guidelines…Your best bet is to adopt the adventurous attitude of a physiological pioneer, to boldly experiment and tweak until you find what works for you,” Dr. Berardi said in a recent CrossFit Journal article.
Dr. Berardi has an undergraduate degree from Lock Haven University, a master’s degree from Eastern Michigan University, and a doctorate from the University of Western Ontario. He’s currently a faculty member at the University of Texas at Austin and Eastern Michigan University.
